Condolence From: Karen Bender

Condolence: My name is Karen Bender.

I have known Peter for about 25 years through the Hillcrest Christian Church Choir.

He was an active member and once organized a bus trip to Fergus years ago to see the organist Robert Latimer perform in a play.

Peter was a true friend to myself and my mother, often travelling from Rexdale to help us.

We shared wonderful times both at my home and at his residences , listening to his music on tapes and C.D ‘s.

He was so kind thoughtful and generous .

My friend Carol Houston also sends her sympathies to the family.

We appreciated the opportunity to perform for Peter and the other residents at Wellesley Central Place.

Peter was always cheerful and never complained of his illness.

Condolence: I was sorry to read of Peter's death. Although I hadn't seen him for over 50 years, I still remember his wonderful music. Those of us who organized some coffee house evenings at Lakeshore Y were thrilled with performances by "Peter & Sunny". I knew him originally from MHS, but it is his playing & singing I remember so well.
