Obituary for Danuta Kaczynska (Janusz)

Danuta Kaczynska, age 64, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in her home with her husband, Waldemar, by her side. From her birth in small-town Maszewo, Poland, on April 8, 1955, Danuta was the bond of our family. Whether it was her words of warmth and comfort, or her words of caution and reason, she always watched over the family and will continue to do so. Danuta showed her love through food as she loved to feed those around her; she always had stories to tell if you had a moment to listen and her love was exemplified through her grandchildren.

In her early 20's Danuta moved to Szczecin to pursue her career in Accounting and where she later married Waldemar on September 9, 1978. In the mid 80's Waldemar pursued a new life in Canada for his growing family and Danuta followed shortly thereafter with their two boys, Pawel and Marcin. Once in Canada, Danuta enjoyed a long career at Campbell's Soup Company in Etobicoke and was looking forward to retirement so that she could spend more time with all the little ladies that she had to spoil, grand-daughters Caroline, Avery, Leah, and Michelle.

We are saddened by our loss. Danuta is survived by her husband Waldemar and their sons, Pawel and Marcin, and a brother, Jerzy.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Danuta touched are invited to the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019, to say a prayer, reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, to reconnect. We will have a priest say a short prayer and blessing at 1:30 p.m.
