Obituary

Ann was a beloved Mother of 3 sons, Ian, Stephen and Kevin, Sister to David and Lynn,
Grandmother to 6 grandchildren and Aunt to 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
Ann, a born and bred “Scouser” from Liverpool, came to Canada in 1986 and immediately fell
in love with Toronto and made it her permanent home in February of 1989.
She started her own bookkeeping business and ran that successfully until her death at age 76.
“Who has time for retirement?” she would say.
She bought a condo in a great location, was a big part of the success of that condo board and
made many, many good friends there.
Of all the things she has to be proud of, her family was always the thing that she knew, she
had done right.
Not bad for a single mum who would walk to work everyday as she only had enough money for
her kids to take the bus.
She passed away suddenly on November 2nd 2019. She will be greatly missed by all but
forgotten by none.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke, ON. from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Red Door Family Shelter. Online condolences can be made to www.hogle.ca

Words cannot express the magnitude of this loss. Ian, Steve, Kevin - your mother was most certainly a force to be reckoned with. She was warm, loving, vibrant and engaged with everyone and everything she did. I was but "a kid" when I met her and to this day she always greeted me with "hey kid!" Throughout the years she was there through thick and thin. She affectionately referred to my daughters as her "surrogate granddaughters" and was always happy to hear about their latest endeavours as if they were her own. Even though we've never met, I feel as if I know each one of you and your families. She raved about each and every one of you any chance she had. You were all her pride and joy and her "10 percenters" because that's what she raised! I feel priviledged to have been adder to her "10 percenters" group and will forever cherish our friendship and the memories with me and my family. She will remain forever our "Anni!"

I was so terribly sad to hear the news of Ann's passing. My law firm colleagues and I offer our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends near and far. She was a charming, warm person and a fount of encouragement and support in helping me manage our small firm's books. I looked forward to our monthly phone chats while she sorted out "logging on". We chatted about intervening days and her inevitable plans to travel "somewhere warm". I miss her and will keep her in my thoughts.
