David Hartshorne passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2021. Survived by sister Betty
Downs, sister-in-law Pudge and brother-in-law Ray Gabourie. Predeceased by his father Frank,
mother Madeline, brother Bill and sisters Marie Gabourie, Frances Arrigo and brother-in-laws
John Downs Sr. and Sam Arrigo.
Survived by his nieces Elizabeth Barker (Douglas), Antoinette Peterson (Mark), Laura Gabourie,
Lisa Dratchewych (Michael) and Claudette Piscione (Sam). Predeceased by his two favourite
nephews John Downs Jr. (Mary Lou) and Michael Gabourie.
David loved to play the piano and entertain his friends and family. We will miss hearing the
beautiful sound at our family gatherings.
Our many thanks to the staff at St. Josephs Health Centre (Palliative Care Unit) and Dorothy Ley
Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice. A Private family
memorial service will be held in the spring.
