Obituary for ARAM DJERAHIAN

The Djerahian, Sattolo, Perez, Kassabian and Hamilton families are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Aram Vahe Djerahian on Friday, April 2, 2021. Aram was 87 years old. He was born on August 20, 1933 in Suez, Egypt to his parents Vahe and Arshalous Djerahian, youngest brother to Armenag (Leon) Djerahian and sister Anna Day.

He was a loving husband and lifelong friend to his wife, Anne Madeleine (Mado) Djerahian and happily married for 58 years. He will be missed by her and his two daughters, Sylvia (Ed) and Aline (Gerry). He was a beloved father, grandfather and mentor and will also be missed by his grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Bianca, Robbie, Nina, and Albert.

Aram was a very kind, brave and generous man. He moved to Canada in 1967 with his wife and two young children, and quickly found work to sponsor his entire family from Lebanon and Egypt who he respected, cared for and loved. Over the years, Aram became self-employed in a career that he loved and was a very gifted artist.

He was very protective of his family, and a very loving, lifelong mentor and friend to all. He always lived his life with great pride, enthusiasm, and energy. His great sense of humour kept us all in a cheerful place. His love for music and nature a constant reminder of the simple and beautiful things in life, and his determination to overcome challenges with great strength was a true lesson for us all. He never gave up on his dreams and helped others to achieve their own dreams as well.

Our hearts are forever broken. We love and miss you Baba and we will never forget how truly wonderful you were to us all. Your heart was so big. Rest in peace and know that you will forever be with us. Until we meet again.
