Obituary for Bersi Franceschini
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Bersi Franceschini, a longtime resident of Mimico passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021 in her 100th year.
Bersi was born on December 10, 1921 in Montelongo, Campobasso, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Concetta Pallante. She was the eldest of 5 girls Regina, Maria, Laura and Benita. Bersi bravely made the voyage to Canada with her two young daughters to join her husband Matteo in 1957 establishing their forever home in the Mimico community. Bersi was a woman of profound faith, an avid reader and a talented seamstress.
She was predeceased by her husband Matteo in 1994. Bersi is survived by her 3 children Mary (Nick) Perrotta, Connie (the late Neil) Lister, Pasquale (Linda) Franceschini her 4 grandchildren Anthony, Matthew (Sandra), Angela (Emidio) and Brent and her four great grandchildren Nicholas, Joseph, Michael and Maria. She will be greatly missed.
