Obituary for VIOLET TURNBULL

It's with great sadness that our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Violet Turnbull (nee Frank) has passed away. Violet was born in Dominion on Cape Breton Island on June 29, 1928 to parents Richard and Clara Frank (both deceased). She grew up on a farm with siblings Mabel and Edgar (both deceased) in Birch Grove and taught grades 4&5 at a country school there when she was 17. She accompanied her husband, James Turnbull (deceased), to Toronto where she got a job with Mono Cup and eventually became head inspector of quality control. She continued at that position when Dover Industries became her knew employer. After 45 years of service, she retired in 1993. Violet will be sadly missed by her son Richard, his wife Carmen and son Jim; grandson Joseph, his wife Mattea, grandson Matthew, and granddaughter Teresa; and great-grandchildren Alexa, Valerie and Nicholas. A thank you to the staff of Post Inn Village for Violet's care this last year and a half. Visitation will take at the place G. H Hogle Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25th from 6 pm - 8 pm and the Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 11 am at the same location.
