In Memory of

Clarence Maxwell TUCKER

1939-2022

 

Clarence succumbed to Congestive Heart Failure on December 27th, 2022 at Mississauga Trillium Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Clarence was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland to parents Donald and Stella Tucker on November 16, 1939.  He was from a large family; one of eleven children.  As a young man Clarence moved to Toronto in 1959. Clarence enjoyed going out to eat, and liked watching sports. He loved the Toronto Blue Jays and the Leafs. He enjoyed bowling and coaching hockey, and he was a very good player himself.

Clarence worked at Via Rail for 38 years, a job which he immensely enjoyed. He was also a talented Master of Ceremonies and spoke at several functions.

Clarence is predeceased by siblings Randolph, Arthur, Wilson, Graham, Gordon, Betty, Olga, Donald and Winnifred. He is survived by his sister, Ruth, and life-long friends, David Chan and Joe Filipe. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

A service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 between 11 am and 1 pm at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, Mimico Chapel, 63 Mimico Ave, Toronto, ON, M8V 1R2.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Clarence’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Clarence’s wishes are to be cremated after the service.
