With family by her side at home, Rosa Carmela La Penna (Marino) passed peacefully on May 22, 2023 at 101 years old. Rosa was born in Roseto Valfortore, Foggia, Italy on December 1, 1921 to the late Filippo Marino and Rosaria Sacchetti. She married the late Antonio La Penna on January 22, 1940. She is the proud mother of Caterina (Filippo), Giulio (Nadia), Rosaria (deceased), Rosaria (Antonio), and Angela (Pino). She, along with Caterina & Giulio emigrated to Toronto, ON Canada to reunite with her husband Antonio in March 1957. They went on to have two more daughters, Rosaria & Angela. She is the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She always enjoyed a glass of wine, was an avid gardener and loved socializing with family and friends.
