It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Zofia Wanda Kornaszewski on May 8 th, 2023. She will be sadly missed by her husband Joachim Anthes. Her children Adam Szilva ( Katherine) Emily Szilva (Jordan) Ian Szilva (Mayte), Rachel Szilva ( Mark) and step-son Michael Knight and close friends. Beloved Daughter to predeceased Karol and Francesca Kornaszewski, and sister Claudette Kornaszewski. She fought a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

The family would like to thank St Joseph’s Health Center, Oncology team and Dr Dorothy Lo. Plus, The Huntsville Palliative and Hospice unit, her hospice nurse Norma Connolly and Dr. Stacey Erven. We appreciate all the support from the family, friends and medical facilities that have been part of Zofia’s journey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. Funeral mass on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. -St. Casimirs Catholic Church, 156 Roncesvalles Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. Burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
