How I Knew Ted

Ted was my Mother-in-law. But far from being that stereotypical kind of Mother-in-law you sometimes hear about, Ted and I became good friends. I will never forget our very first meeting. It was February 13, 2012. She was dressed all in red -- slacks, blouse and even a red scarf on her head because, as she said, "I just washed my hair." Ted was ever the fashionista. In fact, whenever she recalled an event from long ago, even when she was a small child, she could tell you what she was wearing at the time. In the four and a half years since we first met, we had a lot of fun times and a lot of laughs. I was very fond of Ted and she of me. I'll always miss her and I'll never forget her.
